The North Borneo Herald therefore would like to share some basic knowledge on Sabah's history to those who wish to expand their knowledge:
Original name: State of North Borneo (founded in 1881)
9th July 1963: Name changed to Sabah
31st August 1963: Sabah becomes independent
16th September 1963: Sabah together with Malaya, Sarawak and Singapore merge to form a new country called the Federation of Malaysia
Kudat: Capital of Sabah 1881-1883

appreciate sharing this piece of history. i believe my generation (now late 30') did not know the true history of Sabah. Some 20 years ago, i questioned Philipine's claim on sabah but my housemates (teachers-sabahan natives) show me the old history books, my first expression was "wahhh.....what i studied in school was different !!!".
Glad if you could share more as many of young generation does not know the correct history.
our goverment likes to change history facts for reasons only known to them. Even now, road names (well known by everyone) being changed to muslim name.... wondering why!!!

Based on the pharse; "A country ban truth gives permission to lies, and these lies will bring harm."
Even the Australia gov admit and apologised about the sins they had done towards the aborigin natives there..... Just wonder how long will the KL adminstration cover up the truth?
KL admin should not find ways to stop the Borneo natives go oversea to do research about their history.
Below assumptions are some findings.. and there are many more.
Without the Hinduism Malayalaam migrates to Sumantra, there will not be a Hinduism Malay Kingdom called SriVijaya be existed.
Without the expansion of SriVijaya, the "Semenanjung Malaya/ Tanah Melayu" will still be a part of the Buddhist Thai Kingdom.

Without the influence of Arab Muslim merchants, Hinduism kingdom of SriVijaya will still existing until now, and the Hinduism Malays will spreads through out SEA (Now only remain strong in Bali).
Without the help of China's Navy fleets lead by ZhengHe, Melaka will only be a small town like Port Dickson. (Why anti-Chinese?)
Without the help of European colonies, Tanah Melayu is continue to presenting "annual gifts" to the Thai King, and all Tanah Melayu people must learn Thai language, and Arab-nize will not be able expand to this part of the world!! (Why anti-Western politik system??)
Without the help of European colonies, Tanah Melayu will not able to "colonise" S'pore and the two states in Borneo!! And Indonesia will not be as big as today.
(Why always claim the European colonies are people with greedy of power?? Who is greedy of power actually??)
If the above events didn't happened, will Malaysia and Indonesia exist like today?????
Who is the one likes to claim other's efforts/credit for their own selfish advantages??
Therefore, Borneo, Sulawesi, Maluku, Flores, Puapa,... all should breaks into independance countries and forming Asean Union, just like the European union.
